Coffee Lady is Proud to Support Business Networking Across Berkshire
I started Coffee Lady because I believe that good relationships are at the heart of every good business. And relationships start with a conversation, usually over a decent cup of coffee. So when the opportunity came up to get involved with Business Buzz Berkshire, it felt like a natural fit.
I am Jan Revill, most people know me as Coffee Lady. I am the Regional Lead for Business Buzz Berkshire, and I host the Caversham Buzz every month. This page explains a bit about what Buzz is, why I got involved, and how you can come along.
What is Business Buzz?
Business Buzz is a national network of informal, friendly business networking events. It started in 2012 with a simple idea: bring local business people together over coffee, keep it relaxed, and let the connections happen naturally. It has grown to over 50 groups across the UK, and now Berkshire has its own regional chapter.
There is no membership, no pressure, and no expectation that you will turn up every single month. You just come along, have a coffee, meet some interesting people, and see what happens. Most people find that the more they show up, the more business just follows.
Here is what makes Buzz different from a lot of other networking:
Why I Got Involved
The honest answer is that networking is what built my business. The people I have met at events like this have become customers, referrers, and friends. So when I heard Berkshire did not have a Buzz region yet, I wanted to help change that.
Reading in particular caught my attention. The town is growing fast. With the M4 corridor and strong links into London, it is attracting businesses at a real pace, and those businesses need a place to connect with each other. Getting Buzz established in this part of the country just made sense.
But there is something bigger than geography behind this too. I genuinely believe that small businesses grow faster when they are in the room together. Not pitching, not selling, just talking. You hear about a problem someone is having, you know exactly who can help them, and you make an introduction. That is how business actually works. Buzz creates the conditions for that to happen.
As Jan says at Caversham: networking at Buzz is not just about business, it is about connecting and relationships.

Berkshire is Just Getting Started
Caversham is the first event in the region, but it will not be the last. Berkshire is a big county with some brilliant business communities in towns like Bracknell, Maidenhead, Windsor, and Reading itself. The plan is to grow the network so that wherever you are in Berkshire, there is a Buzz nearby.
If you are based in one of those towns and you like the sound of hosting a local event, I would love to hear from you. You do not need to run it yourself, there are different levels of involvement, from hosting a venue to becoming an ambassador. Get in touch and we can have a chat about what might work.

Good Coffee. Good People. Good Business.
Coffee Lady exists because I love helping people get more out of their coffee, whether that is at home, in the office, or in a venue like The Travellers Rest. And Buzz exists because good things happen when business people sit down together without an agenda.
The two go together rather well.
